You need to have a bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering if you want to become a mining engineer. To be able to practice your profession though, you will also need to pass the licensure examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission. B.S. in Mining Engineering prepares you for mine working. You will be taught here about the different mineral deposits and how they can be mined efficiently, safely, and profitably. The college course also teaches you about the different theories, concepts, methods, processes, and applications in mining. In addition to this, you will also be taught how to prepare plans for the mines such as making plans for shafts and tunnels and creating mine layout.

Cost of Education:

B.S. in Mining Engineering is a five-year course, and the whole college program is going to cost you anywhere from P160,000 to about P200,000.
