6.      Qualifications:
Applicants must…
–    Be a High school graduate or candidate for graduation.
–    Physically and mentally fit
–    Below 25 years old
–    from a family earning a total income of not more than P150,000.00 or a per capita income of not more than P20,000.00 as supported by ITR or Certificate of Tax Exemption if he/she is  applying for  a full scholarship grant

–    pass the screening procedures conducted by the MFI Admissions Committee

Note:  the Admission Committee maybe consider any other economic factors in determining and classifying the scholarship grants to the applicants.

7.      Requirements:
To apply for the program, applicants must submit the following…
–    downloaded and accomplished  Application Form and Recommendation Form:
–    Secondary Education Report Card (at least 2nd Grading Period)  <photocopy>
–    Two pieces 2×2 ID Photo (any background).
–    For employed parents,
–    latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents or guardian <photocopy>
–    If parents are not employed,
–    Certificate of Tax Exemption from the BIR <photocopy>
–    Two  recommendation letters from last school attended, one from the Principal and one from the Guidance Counselor, both with school dry seal
–    Testing Fee of Php 200

Applications for School Year 2013-2014 can be submitted through Student Services Department until March 29, 2013 at MFI Bldg. Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City.  Qualifications:

The school officials are the ones who will refer students who can qualify for this program.  Schools generally base this on the students’ scholastic achievements and potentials.

 Conditions to Follow:

1.  He/ she must additionally take Japanese language lessons.

2.  He/ she can receiver similar financial assistance from other programs.

3.  FPI scholar must take a course in Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field of Information Technology.

4.  He/she is not allowed to work while a scholar as they are expected to concentrate on their studies.

5.  He/ she are expected to maintain above average passing marks.

6.  He/she may not drop any subject without prior approval by the student affairs director of the university concerned.

–          Have a / cumulative overall GPA  or final average grade not lower than 85% or its equivalent

–          Not have disciplinary action records

–          Not have a incomplete or failing grade

7. Requirements:

–          Scholarship Application form.

–          Brief essay stating the reasons why the applicant should be awarded with the scholarship grant

–          High school report card with grades for the first 3 grading (incoming 1st year) / College transcript for all undergraduate course work, ending with the grades from the 1st semester (incoming 2nd to 4th year). < True Copy>

–          Latest income tax return of parents or Affidavit of not filing of income tax return (photocopy)

–          School Principal or Registrar certification of the final ave. grade (for incoming 1st year applicants), or the final overall GPA/GWA of the applicant (for 2nd to 4th year applicants).

–          Certifications supporting leadership experience, awards received, and community involvements.

–          2  recommendation letters (one academic & one non-academic).

–          Certificate of Good Moral

–          Certificate of Good Health

–          Artwork or Photograph

8. Obligations:

– The scholar must provide and update his/her personal contact information

–   The scholar must have a GWA of 2.5 or higher

–  The scholar must not have a grade lower than 3.0 in any course/subject

– The scholar is not allowed to accept any kind of employment while he/she is on the scholarship

9. Scholarship Application and Exam Schedule:

REMINDER:

All applicants who pass the 1st screening are required to submit a certified true copy of the complete High school Report Card (for incoming 1st year applicants) / second semester grades ( for incoming 2nd year to 4th year applicants).

  1. Corporate HR will determine the Top 60 who will proceed to the next round of screening which is the initial interview. Applicants who made it to the Top 60 will be notified via phone call.
  2. From Top 60. Corporate HR will then choose the 30 finalists who will be called for the final phase of the screening process which is the panel interview. Panel interviews will be conducted at the corporate offices of Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. in Banilad, Cebu City or Makati City.
