DOLE Enhancement Training Sponsorship Project (ETSP)

  1. Scholarship Background:

This scholarship program is announced by the Department of Labor and Employment under the Enhancement Training Sponsorship Project (ETSP) of the Exchange Visitor Program (EVP). Its purpose is to improve the skills of Filipinos and to allow Filipino professionals better jobs overseas to sustain their families.

 2.  Number of Slots:

For Teachers (General Science, Physical Science, Math, and Special Education): 20

For Mechanical Engineers: 1

For Agricultural Engineers: 1

For Biological Engineers: 1

For Computer Engineers: 1

For Mechanical Engineers: 1

For Electrical Engineers: 1

For Reading and Speech Pathology: 1

 3. Courses Covered:

-Any course or specialization that is mentioned in the Skills List of the Philippines

5.  Scholarship Benefits:

This project allots a maximum of $1,500 per scholar per course.

6.  Qualifications:

Applicants must…

– be a Filipino citizen

– have desire to pursue their studies in the Philippines and not overseas (EVP Committee do not encourage the scholars to apply for a work abroad after the completion of their studies)

– have a field of expertise or seek graduate education in a field that is included in the current Skills List of the Philippines
– have completed a 4-year bachelor’s degree (for Master’s Degree and Training Program) or Master’s Degree (for PhD program applicant);
– have acceptable undergraduate grades particularly in subjects under his/her field of study

– be with good moral character (proved by the last school attended or by the present employer)

7.      Requirements:

–         Bachelor’s Degree Transcript of Records ( certified true copy)

–         Course Prospects ( photocopy )

–         updated curriculum vitae with passport-size photo(Spell out acronyms of organizer/s and topic/s or subject/s of the training programs

–         Certificates of Participation in trainings/seminars ( photocopy )

–         Recommendation letter from the present employer
– Proof of Income (photocopy)
– Certificate of Good Moral (true copy)

–         Copy of Authority to Enroll or Certificate of Registration (whichever is applicable)

8.  Obligations:

–         It is later discuss and explain by EVP Committee as you’ve passed the screening and be one of their scholars.
