To be a computer support specialist, you can take up any computer-related associate degree. However, most employers prefer those who have a B.S. Computer Science diploma or B.S. Information Systems. BSCS teaches you computer programming and its principles as well as applications, including information theories, software testing, computer architecture, etc. BSIS, on the other hand, teaches you about designing communication systems as well as implementing it. The latter also teaches you about managing and maintaining communication systems.

Cost of Education:

It will cost you anywhere from P110,000 to about P300,000 for the full four-year course if you plan to take up B.S. computer science. B.S. Information Systems, on the other hand, is going to cost you anywhere from P21,000 to P50,000, depending upon the school you’re going to enroll in.
