Scholarship Background

The MIT Fil-Chi Alumni Association is one of the accredited Alumni Associations under National Association of Mapúa Alumni (NAMA). This scholarship grant is available to students who have graduated from Filipino- Chinese High schools in the Philippines.

Scholarship Benefits

The scholars will receive an assistance equivalent to 100% tuition fee assistance every term.

Scholarship Qualifications

-Applicant must be a graduating high school student from a reputable Filipino-Chinese High Schools in the Philippines;
-Applicant must be from the top 5% of the graduating class;
-Applicant must be in good academic standing, with a Final Grade of at least 85% or higher;
-Applicant must pass the Mapúa Scholastic Aptitude Exam with a score of at least 60% score;
-Applicant must be of good moral character;
-Applicant must have proven financial need to complete his/her studies. Parents’ (or household’s) combined income must not exceed (Php 500,000) per year;
-Applicant must have sincere intentions of pursuing his/her studies at MAPÚA.

Scholarship Requirements

-Completed Scholarship Application From
-Two 2×2 ID pictures
-Photocopy of Final Grade Report card from High school
-Certificate of Good Moral Character
-Photocopy of Latest Income Tax Return of Parents or Affidavit of Not Filing Income Tax Return
-Proof of billing (electric, water, etc.)
-Brief essay stating the reasons why the applicant needs financial assistance.

Responsibilities of Scholars
-The scholar must have a GWA of 2.75 or higher every quarterm
-The scholar must not have a grade lower than 3.0 in any course/subject
-Must finish the program within the prescribed numbers of quarters
-Must not drop any subject without the approval of MITFCAAI and CSFA
-Must not shift to any other program
-The scholar must provide and update his/her personal contact information
-Must visit the CSFA Office before enrollment for validation
