Like you, I'm an incoming high school senior this June. A few months ago I was just like you, curious how to be accepted into the countries top universities but because of Academic Clinic ( and forums I now have an idea how. You could also go to the school's website and read about their admission guidelines. P.S.- It doesn't matter what school you came from- the universities check your grades not your background.

Scholarship Background

The UP Government Scholars Alumni Association Scholarship Grant was established in 2008. This grant is spearheaded by the UP Government Scholars Alumni Association, recipients of the U.P. -GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS or REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5549 – an act to authorize the University of the Philippines to establish scholarships, to provide fund therefor, and for other purposes.

Scholarship Benefits

School fees up to P 6,000.00
Book allowance of P 1,500.00/semester
monthly stipend of P 3,000.00
transportation allowance of P 500.00/month

Scholarship Qualifications

must be a bona fide freshman student of the University of the Philippines Diliman;
must be enrolled in at least 15 units at the time of the award of the grant;
must be financially needy (parents’ annual gross income must not exceed P 300,000.00).

Scholarship Requirements

scholarship is renewable every semester.
