Scholarship Background

The St. Luke’s Medical Center, together with and in support of the St. Luke’s College of Medicine, has embarked in an unprecedented feat of generosity by granting full scholarships to the best and the brightest graduates of leading Colleges/Universities of the land. The medical school was established in 1994, and opened its scholarship program in 2005.

Scholarship Benefits

full scholarships that cover tuition, laboratory and miscellaneous fees and books.

Partial scholarships at 75 percent of the cost of full scholarships.

Scholarship Qualifications

full scholarship may be awarded to bachelor degree holders who graduated with Latin honors from colleges/universities in the Philippines with NMAT ratings of 90% and above.
A student promoted to the next year level may obtain/maintain a full scholarship provided that the GWA of the previous year is 85% or higher, with no grade lower than 80%.
The partial scholarship is given to bachelor degree holders with a GWA of 2.0 (or it’s equivalent) and an NMAT rating of 90%.  grants are continued throughout the five-year medical course, provided the students maintain required grades.

REVOCATION OF SCHOLARSHIP
After an evaluation by the Scholarship Committee, scholars found guilty of any of the following infractions are automatically disqualified and their scholarship privileges immediately revoked:
• Any act which may be considered inimical to the interest of the College;
• Any misconduct or misdemeanor; and
• Any offense involving moral turpitude

Scholarship Requirements

1. Submit the Application Form together with the required documents to the Registrar’s Office.

A. Official Transcript of Records signed by their school Registrar or Official List of Subjects/Courses taken and final grades for each subject completed up to the time of application with General Weighted Average1,2

B. Certificate of Graduation (for graduated students)

C. NMAT result

D. Birth certificate (for local applicants, from the NSO)

E. Certificate of Naturalization, if a naturalized Filipino

F. Certificate of good standing from any school official in the school he graduated from (referred to as Certificate of good moral character in some schools)

G. Marriage certificate (for married female applicants using a name other than that indicated in the Birth Certificate)

H. Four (4) copies of 2×2 recent colored photograph with white background

1For graduating students, a Certified True Copy of Grades from the Registrar can be submitted for evaluation purposes only. Official Transcript of Records should be given upon enrollment.

2For Graduating students, this should include a certification of subjects being taken in progress

2. Pay the processing fee in the Accounting Office.
3. Take the English Proficiency Test (for Applicants whose medium of instruction is not English)
4. Applicants qualified for Interview will be notified of their schedule. The list will also be posted in the website.
5. Await the Official List of Accepted Students
