Wilfred Gabriel Gapas (born September 22, 1993) is an alumnus from Lourdes School of Mandaluyong (SOL 2011) and is currently taking up his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Language Studies at the University of Santo Tomas. He aspires to become a forensic linguist; educator; and (hopefully) an archaeologist. Thus, he plans to continue studying for a master’s degree in English, Forensic Linguistics, and Archaeology, and hopefully be able to continue studying for a doctorate in English (or any related Social Science/Humanities field). In order to achieve these goals, he does his work seriously with love, applies what he learns from school through knowledge sharing, and studies in advance. This is one of the many reasons why he decided to help in the Oble Project of Academic Clinic.com
In his time outside the world of the academia, he reads, writes any form of prose, hangs out with friends, and often listens to jazz and the blues. He recently began joining book discussions of The Filipinos Group in Goodreads in which he takes part in discussing the book at hand; writes book reviews and analyses; and participates in the National Novel Writing Month by writing a 50,000 word novel within the thirty days of November. He also plays a few games, both outdoor and indoor (usually computer games); and watches news, documentaries, fantasy, comedy, and drama shows that are not banal or inane.
When he is alone, he frequently reflects about many significant things which usually end up giving him a nasty headache. He has other aspirations in life aside from obtaining degrees, such as being able to travel in other countries he wishes to visit, be financially independent, become a stage actor, meet the people whom he gets inspiration from (preferably in person), and to have a family of my own (though at his age, it’s too early).
If you have questions about the English subject, or if you have any other inquiries, secrets, concerns, and the like, feel free to send him an e-mail. He will be able to respond in five days, if he is busy.
