Janina Denise H. Torralba

I’m Janina Denise H. Torralba, the sixteen-year-old British girl from Bulacan. I’ve got a passion for music, literature, and FOOD! I love taking on challenges, and I’m very driven by my curiosity. I consider myself a doer, not a dreamer.

Simula June 11, 2012 ay mag-aaral ako ng BA Broadcast Communication sa UP Diliman. Quiz maker ako for English ng Oble Project, which I joined in February 2012. Since then, nag-expand na rin ang scope ng volunteer work ko to include writing articles for the Academic Clinic website.

I didn’t join the Oble Project arbitrarily. Alam ko kung gaano katindi mag-take ng mga college entrance exam, so gusto ko tumulong sa mga incoming high school seniors by sharing the knowledge and wisdom from my experiences sa mga mangangailangan nito. Besides, like any dedicated Filipino, gusto kong makita ang pagbabago sa bansa. I know I can’t instigate change alone, pero if I could help other change-seeking Filipino students along their road to their dreams, then I could be the spark of a bright flame. Once I have helped them find a future made viable by serving the country through their skills, makikita ko rin balang araw yung pagbabago na karapat-dapat para sa Pilipinas. Right? ^_^ Cheers for Oble Project!
