Top Engineering Schools in the Philippines According to Board Exam Passing Rates

There are many types of engineering courses being offered in schools in the Philippines.  However, we have only selected six and came up with a list of top performing schools for each type.  These six engineering courses are Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, and Metallurgical Engineering.

After knowing which schools top each field of Engineering, now, let’s find out which school roars the loudest in the entire Engineering department.  To derive this, the averages of each of the top schools were used.  For those schools with no representatives or no such Engineering course offered, the divisor for averaging was adjusted.  Say, UP-Los Banos.  It does not offer ECE, ME or Metallurgical Engineering; hence, the divisor was 3 instead of 6.

It is important to wit that the only school offering all six Engineering courses and does top each field is the Mindanao State University-Iligan.  If we exclude Metallurgical Engineering as it has only three performing schools, then, the only two top schools offering the remaining five fields and top them are Mindanao State University-Iligan and the University of Santo Tomas.

  5. Wow. Walang nagcocomment na taga UPLB? Sawa na mga te. Number 1 ang UPLB. Hindi na katakataka kung bakit naungusan ang UPD, no. 1 ang uplb sa civil eng. At electrical eng. Eh… kung may ageng pa sana . No 1. Din yon. (Claims ay base sa 2013 rankings)

  6. i think screwed up ang metrics na ginamit. paano kung isang school 10 lang nagtake and 9 out of 10 so 90% while isa pang school was 550 out of 1000 so 55%. Mahirap talaga iquantify ang ganito klase sa simpleng metrics na percentages lang

  7. When it comes to engineering, pioneer ang MAPUA diyan, parang sa pagkain yan ang specialty ng MAPUA same thing with Architecture and MAS…

  8. To all: may it be realized that formulating such fallacious statements will always be rejected. Thus, there’s no need to post and express invalid opinions and insights because the empirical data shows.. Further, Central Mindanao University or CMU has it ! (don’t argue :)

    • Yeah, you are right. Central Mindanao University is now the leading school when it comes to engineering, imagine for almost 4 successive years they got 100% passing in ME. Proud CMUan here!

  9. ok lng khit wla MAPUA kc sila naman ang kinukuha sa work. lalo na’t ABET accredited na sila. seriously UP, La Salle and MAPUA ang nakakakuha agad ng trabaho.

    • hmpzz…. sila lang na tatanggap… dahil sila lang ang nag-aapply.. bakit galit ang iba if di nakapasok ang skul nila…. since reliable naman ang source na ito…. the top schools are really the bestQ!!!!
