Wikipedia defines GEOLOGY as the science that comprises the study of the solid Earth and the processes by which it is shaped and changed. This may be a field of absolute importance but such doesn’t seem to catch the interest of many people. As a matter of fact, deriving the top performing schools in the yearly exam for this field is not rigorous. For the last three years (2008-2010), there were only four participating schools; hence, automatically naming them as the top geology schools in the country. With an average of 48 examinees, 28 pass the exam or a 60% passing percentage. Please note too that no exams were conducted for the years 2006 and 2007 (http://www.prc.gov.ph/examresults.asp?svc_id=3&prof_id=1510&isFiltered=&pid=).
