If there are four participating schools in the Geology exam for the last three years (2008-2010), Metallurgical Engineering exam has only three. It is even important to wit that in 2009, only two schools participated. Mapua Institute of Technology has no representative on that year and in 2010, only with three examinees. The average passing rate is 55% or 21 out of 38 examinees. As it was with Geology, no exams were conducted in August of 2006 and 2007. With the number of participating schools, examinees and number of exams given each year, it seems as though that this field of study does not create interest yet to Filipinos.
