Top 10 Education Schools in the Philippines -Secondary

The Professional Regulations Commission’s (PRC) website is the main source of data used for the table above.  In the last two years (2009-2010), an average of 1,302 schools participates in every licensure exam for secondary teachers with only 26% passing percentage or 7,729 out of 30,012 examinees.

As it is with LET (Elementary), PRC presents its top schools for LET (Secondary) in categories such as “with 10-99 examinees, with 100-299, with 300-499 and with 500 or more examinees.”  To eliminate these categories and come up with an over-all top 10 in consideration of the  PRC ranking, then, the limit used for the table above is simply “with 10 or more examinees” with exception though.  Once a school has entered the top 10 in whichever exam date, the limit is waived once and the school is still considered in the ranking.  If limit is waived twice, the school is out of the race.  An example is UP-Manila having 100 passing percentage twice but each earned with only six representatives.  This exception to the exception was set so as to recognize those schools with large number of representatives and still having high passing percentage.

  1. Why is Ateneo de Manila not in the list? As far as I know, it also has a high passing percentage in the Secondary Education licensure exams.

Can you please check the PRC data?
