TOP 12 Civil Engineering Schools in the Philippines

Exams for this field are conducted twice a year: May and November except if there are retakes, e.g. January 2008.  The Professional Regulations Commission’s (PRC) website is the main source of data used for the table above.

PRC actually presents its top schools in categories.  For CE, the top schools for 2008 and 2009 per PRC were limited to schools with 10 or more examinees while in 2010, to those with 50 or more examinees with at least 80% passing percentage. To eliminate these categories but come up with an over-all top 10 still in consideration of the  PRC ranking, then, the limit used for the table above is simply “with 10 or more examinees” but this goes with an exception.  Once a school has entered the top 10 in whichever exam date, the limit ends.  Take for instance, UP-Diliman.  Even if UPD had below 10 representatives for the January 2008 retake, it was still considered in the ranking.  This is because for the succeeding exams, UPD has always been in the top 10, limit observed.  Note too that for schools with no representatives on certain exam dates, the divisor used in deriving the average is adjusted.

  1. Pingback: Civil Engineer Course and Career Info

  2. There have been 4 more examinations after October 2010, can you not update status using at least the last 6 examinations results for better understanding of the trends of the performance of the different universities today..thanks a lot

  3. It would be better if you put how many took the exam or each school. Cause I would rather go to a school where a lot would take a test and get an average passing rate than go to a school that less than a few can take a test though it has a high chance of passing. like 15/20 is better than 9/10
